This Yamaha is a pretty awesome machine. Whether you're using it to help you with your work or playing on it, you want to be as comfortable as you can be. A full UTV windshield can be a great way to help you get the most comfortable, and we have just what you need with this Viking 700 Full Front Windshield by Dot Weld.
The SxS windshield is manufactured from a quarter-inch thick UV stabilized and shatterproof polycarbonate. It's not only strong, but will last a long time. The one-inch upper lip adds stability while diverting wind over you and your passenger’s head. One of the best features is the full-length rubber gasket, which not only provides an excellent seal but will also protect your hood from the windshield rubbing on it. The clamps are rubber cushioned, and stainless steel to ensure a solid mounting with minimal noise. Another great feature? There's no need to remove the windshield when towing your vehicle; it’s tailorable!

You would be better off wrapping your roll cage with household plastic wrap. This windshield has so much glare and scratched so easily I would never recommend it. Dust is attracted to the plastic and is very hard to keep clean. The plastic is so soft It scratched when I cleaned it with Windex and paper towels! It might be 1/4 inch thick but the glare from the spirals in the windshield creates a very dangerous situation when riding. It's not bad if your in the shade but if your riding with any sun or an LED light on the glare through the windshield is unbelievable You have to stick your head out the door to see. I purchased the windshield because of the good reviews but my experience was exactly the opposite ! The plastic on this windshield is so soft and scratched very easily. I would not recommend it to anyone. I am going to try and return it because it is not safe to use! UPDATE: DOT WELD WOULD NOT ACCEPT A RETURN AFTER 30 DAYS EVEN THOUGH THE PRODUCTS IS DEFECTIVE AND THE GLARE CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATION! BUYERS BEWARE. DOT WELD SAID I DID TAKE PROPER CARE OF WINDSHIELD. AS FOR PROPER CARE AND CLEANING IT WAS ONLY USED TWICE AND WAS CLEANED WITH MILD DETERGENT AND SOFT TOWELS.

Just got the windshield for my brand new Yamaha Viking...the shield fits great, high quality. But you will need to go to the hardware store to pick up 4, 2x 1/4 inch standard pitch thread bolts to make it fit on roll cage tubes. I also added 1/4 fender washers, installed from the outside of the shield just to be sure bolt heads had more area to hold this bad boy in. Again, the shield is awesome, but someone needs to let Dot Weld about the wider tube dia. on the Vikings...if they added 4 more bolts to the mounting kit I would have given this product Excellent. I will recommend the shield to folks but will caution them about needing to get more bolts if they plan to install it on their Viking. Thanks. Hope this helps Viking owners.
