Particle separators have been used by the military in their helicopters when landing in extremely dusty areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan. S&B Filters saw the benefits of using these and decided to move this advanced technology into the UTV world and they've been a huge hit. Whether you're riding through the sand dunes or just out on dusty trails, when this is installed on your rig you can maintain power and performance while protecting your engine. How does this technology actually work exactly? When dirty air is sucked into the particle separator it goes through the 19 vortexes and spun. Centrifugal force throws the dust against the outer sides of the tube and is then sent out the rear slot. A scavenge fan then ejects the dust through the exhaust, all without reaching your air filter. Clean air is directed through a tube centered in the vortexes and directed to your stock filter.

The scavenge fan only draws 3.1 amps and is IP55 rated for 50,000 hours of use in the harshest of conditions. Due to the versatile billet clamps, you can install the separator in a variety of areas. As long as you have a 2" bar and clear space for the air to enter, you're in luck. One of the best features is the fact you don't have use a special filter, this is designed to work with your stock air filter. The silicone tube attaches to your stock air inlet opening and gives you the airflow you need. With this, you can make your filter last for approximately 15x longer since around 94% of dust is ejected before it even reaches your air filter, which in the long run will put less stress on your engine.

You won't have to do a lot of extra maintenance on your Maverick Turbo when adding this either. Occasionally clean out the system with compressed air and make sure mud or other debris isn't blocking the vortexes is usually the extent of cleaning required.
