Lexan, though impact resistant, is highly susceptible to scratching and even cleaning it incorrectly can scratch the material. The MR-10 hard coat option covers both the outside and interior of the windshield, prevents scratching and lengthens the life of your windshield. It is also 1/4 inch thick versus the non-coated that is 3/16 inch thick.

Any folding windshield is better than this. The hardware to secure this to your roll bar is cheap and does not secure it well enough. Especially the Velcro straps that are used to hold the windshield up or down. Instructions say to tow in the DOWN position but the Velcro does not hold it down over 55mph. And when the Velcro doesn't hold, it will fly up and bust. When you contact the manufacturer about getting it replaced, this occurrence is not a"Manufacture defect" and it is not covered under warranty. Very poor design.
