This flip out windshield has the ability to be used in three positions - fully closed, partially open or fully open - letting you have the versatility you want and the protection you need. When in the fully closed or partially closed position, the windshield is held securely in place with the latch mechanism. When in the fully open position, gas spring supports hold the windshield up. The Maverick 1000 windshield is made from 1/4" thick abrasion resistant polycarbonate that has a hard coating on both sides, making it resistant to not only scratches, but also chemical and UV attacks. The windshield also has a full length rubber seal that, along with the contoured windshield, provides an excellent fit and seal.
