The team at Spike wanted to make a windshield that not only offered you the protection you want but unlike the competition's full polycarbonate panels, the Spike windshield allows you the freedom to remain unprotected from the elements should you want to. This is done by either utilizing the built in lower vented portion or better yet the upper folding portion of the windshield. Either way, you'll be sure to get you the airflow you want. I received the windshield on-time and in perfect condition. This product is a 5-star part, however, I found several issues during the install. One mounting clamp interferes with the grab bar -- moving the hole down approx 3/8" would allow for a perfect fit. The adjustable sliding vent part had lots of burrs in the machined holes -- I had to manually remove them with a sharp tool. The supplied 3M rubber strips (used to reduce the diameter of the mounting clamps) are almost impossible to peel off the carrier. The adhesive backing sticks to the carrier, not the rubber strip.

The windshield is a 5 star part, however: one Clamp location interferes with the grab bar. Moving that one hole down 3/8" would give it a perfect fit. The supplied 3M rubber pads are almost impossible to remove from the protective sheet without pulling the adhesive off the rubber pad. The CNC routed vent holes had lots of burrs that I had to remove with a sharp tool.

Product shipped right away. Easy to assemble - good instructions. Very well made and fits perfectly. Room at top to pass wiring for LED floods. Crystal clear. Beautiful product and highly recommended.
