The fitment is not that good. The one hole that is not ovaled out, I had to take a file and elongate the hole about 1/8 of an inch to get the piece to slide forward enough to fit into factory opening better. It also seemed to align the shifter into a better position in relation to the detent in the transmission. It still sits down in the back and there is a gap between piece and factory console. Not bad, but not like factory original. Next problem, it is a wider pattern than stock and it comes too close to the passenger grab handle. Not enough room for someones hand to be there and to be able to shift to R from L. Was hoping they also made an extension for the handle to raise it up out of harm's way. Would also make it in line better with the handle on the door. Other than that I think it is a great concept and and I am running it on my XRC.
