Applicability: 2016-21 Honda Pioneer 1000 and Pioneer 1000-5
It doesn't matter if you're taking your Honda Pioneer 1000 5 down the trails or your Pioneer 1000 around the farm for work, you need to keep it protected. One of the most vulnerable spots on your machine when in rough terrain is the a-arms and CV boots which is why we're offering the Trail Armor UHMW A-Arm Guards for your machine.
These guards come in a set of 4, front and rear, and offer your CV boots three sided protection - front, rear and bottom. Installation is made easy with the supplied hardware and instructions, no drilling required. The guards are made from 1/2" thick UHMW plastic, which is a ultra high molecular weight plastic. This material is lighter than aluminum and won't gouge, dent or puncture like aluminum would. Also, they absorb the impact better, giving you more protection and comfort.

Am liking these Heavy Duty A Arm Guards.The fronts went on easily. The rears I felt didn't leave much clearance between the tire sidewall and leading edge of guard.A call to technical support asking if I could trim a bit off using the sawsall suggested a wood blade to prevent clogging.Worked out great and I'm pleased with the protection they will give.

While the material seems to be a robust choice, the fitment is terrible on a 2018 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 with a factory winch. The passenger side front A-arm guard rests right against the terminal lug of the winch and would tear is right off with one stroke of the gear. Also the guard does not take into account the outboard weldments on the A-arm. I also don't like that the instructions warn that these are a "cosmetic add-on only".
This kit is in need of a redesign. I halted the install and am sending back.

This is an awesome product. If you are looking at these then you know the importance of having a arm guards. Don't hesitate and buy a set as soon as you can afford them. In my opinion this is the best set on the market due to the thickness and they don't have a memory like aluminum. If you hit a rock they bounce off with barely a scratch. The install was easy. The front was easier than the back but still not bad. They shipped to my door in less than a week. My next purchase will be the full skid to protect the remainder of the under carriage. Happy Trails!! Be safe and have fun.

I am very happy with the design, durability, and ease of install on the 1/2" UHMW A-arm guards. The hardware supplied was good the front made it a breeze, The rear was a little cantankerous but it was due to the welds on the OEM A-Arm affecting how the Z-clip attached towards the outer ends only.. Fit and finish was first rate everything matched up providing very good coverage. If I could change anything I wish the front piece that extends up went out another 3" towards the wheel further protecting the CV boots. Overall very happy and would definitely buy again. SidebySideStuff.com was great to deal with and delivery was fast.
