These full belly skid plates are made out of Ultra-High Molecular Weight material. This material will hold its shape so that those rocks ou don't see, those unexpected stumps and other debris won't damage your skid plate like traditional aluminum skids. The UHMW outwears carbon steel 10 to 1 and retains it's shape, not bending or gouging on impact. Also, and for some most important, these material is lighter than aluminum.
