I actually bought this top thinking it was a fully waterproof fabric like a Jeep top . My bad for not reading closer . But they should make it clearer in the title that this is a mesh sun shade . I see after buying mine, they also make a version that is fully waterproof ,. Having said that, it is a very tight weave plasticized mesh that does a good job repelling water and snow . The main reason I bought it was for snow .. to keep the snow out of the cab when riding in wooded areas with low hanging snow covered beaches .. and it does this .the snow collects on top and doesn t come in the cab . My only complaint it s that they don t make the front edge come slightly more forward with a Velcro strip on the leading edge so as to have a way to secure to a windshield . I made my own and was able to secure it to the windshield . Other than that.. it s well made and installs easy . I d buy it again .
